Venture creation and entrepreneurship - 7,5 TCPS

The course offers graduate students a theoretical foundation to business development, and in a systematic practical and theoretical manner increase the value of own innovations or innovations by others. This implies the understanding and description capabilities of markets of such innovations. The course will also handle ethical issues where market and regulatory demands become balanced against humanitarian and moral values. The students are after this course expected to:

- Apply and understand fundamental business and innovation concepts upon the development of innovations in industrial and academic cooperation.

- Use models for the analysis of technology and market from a value creating perpective.

- Analyse market data.

- Analyse and understand Intellectual Properties (IPs) and the relation: demands versus ownership.

- Basic principles for patent construction.

- Evaluate and compare competing products.

- Shape a vision and a business model for an imaginary activity based on the innovation.

- Handle ethical issues, and effects of Helsinki declaration.

- Describe the Innovation from economical and developmental perspectives.
